A Christ-Centered Faith

I just discovered all these cool infographics on the LDS Newsroom site today. They have nine different graphs on there, and I thought I'd share one a week with you here on the blog. They're pretty cool, and have a lot of neat stats.

This one explains who we, "the Mormons," are. "Mormon" is just a nickname for members of our church; our real, full church name is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." Each part of that long title has a meaning. "The Church of Jesus Christ" means just that: it is the church of Jesus Christ organized upon the earth. "Saint" simply means member of the church, and "latter-day" means the present day instead of the church when it was established 2,000 years ago. So, that's why we're The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Here are some cool stats about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Enjoy!

Savior of the World

Hi everyone!

I've been meaning to share this with you for months. I'm really excited about it, and if you can make it I'd love for you to come.

Next month I will be in an amazing musical production that my church is putting on, called Savior of the World. It's all about Jesus Christ, his birth and resurrection. The play is really incredible to watch - I saw it when my church put it on four years ago, and it gave me chills the whole time. It is awesome.

We're doing it again this year. We've been practicing since October. I'm in the "angel choir," and the music is absolutely beautiful.

The play will run from March 20 - March 30, right before Easter. It would be a wonderful Easter activity to go to.

We're in Southern California, in Orange County, in Anaheim, and the play will be at 441 South Fairmont Boulevard, Anaheim Hills, CA 92808 (Here's a map!). If you're in the area and would like to come, I would love it if you did! Here is the production's official website, where you can get tickets:  http://www.anaheimsotw.com/.

Please check it out, and let me know if you're interested in coming!
